Rabbits and Grasses

Question
Hi there,

I moved into a new house and I want to build a little green outdoor space on my porch for my little furries. I'm taking a kids swimming pool and filling it with soil and rocks and grow grasses/clovers/some miscilaneous veggies in there.. but i need some help.

Is there any grass types/weed plants that might pop up out of a lawn seed bag that i should watch out for/that may be poisonous to rabbits? Is there a better lawn seed/grass for rabbits that if eaten wont be so bad? Any help here would be awesome :)

Thank you toooons!

Answer
Dear Lauren,

The more you spend on the grass seed, the less likely it is you'll have any weeds.  I doubt that anything really nasty would grow from a good quality seed.

Wheat grass might be a good choice, but any good grass such as timothy, brome, Kentucky blue, etc. will be tasty and great for buns.

Be sure to provide drainage in the plastic pool by either having a layer of drainage stones or perforating the bottom, or your grasses may not thrive.

Have fun!  :)
