Bonding two rabbits

I've had a female dwarf lop for 2 years since she was a baby and recently I have got a baby male rabbit who is just 9 weeks old. They've just being sniffing each other my femal rabbit more than my male, but my female rabbit has been sniffing his bum a lot and pushing it I was just wondering why she is doing this.

Is your female rabbit spayed?  If she isn't she is probably trying to get him to mate her.  She may not realize that he is just a baby.  If she is spayed then she is just checking him out.  When you bond 2 rabbits it is very important to make sure they are both fixed.  After they are fixed then you want to introduce them to each other in a neutral area.  It can take some time but if she is already spayed and she is accepting him that is a good sign.
