Answer
Hi,

During the summer months rabbits do molt (shed) their coats. Depending upon the breed, some rabbits shed more than others. Some shed "neatly" meaning it is a process that you almost do do not notice. You might see stray hairs, but it tends to happen gradually. Others shed in clumps. It can vary drastically depending upon the individual animal, much like the differences in how dogs shed their coats.

Since you did mention a bald spot, I would be concerned about fur mites or mange. Fur mites can be treated by getting a powder medication over the counter from a local pet store. You will want to find a formula that says it is safe for "kittens."

As in all health cases, you might want to check with a veterinarian first to make sure that is the true cause of the fur loss.  Good luck!
