Sounds that rabbis make

Hi there,

I have a question regarding the sound my bunny make. I found out very little info which didn't really helped except the name of this sound. I've noticed my bunny often Cooing when she clean herself,eating...sometimes when she's around me and when I pet her. The way I understood its not bad that she does that,can you explain me more detailed whats this sound is all about.

Daria, not all rabbits make this cooing sound.  It is a sign of pleasure - of well being.  Sort of like a cat purring.  In reality very few make it - I have had hundreds of rabbits and only maybe three or four have made that sound and it is very endearing.  Another sound that bucks sometimes make is sort of a grunting talking when they want attention and or a mate.  I have noticed that the ones that do make sounds tend to be more intelligent than the rest.
