weepy eye in rabbits

Question
My rabbit has a continous draining in it's eyes. We have tried eye drops, that did not seem to help. It's a white goopy color. Do you have any ideas?

Answer
Hi Tonia

You need to take the rabbit to a qualified exotic animal vet.  They can culture the infection and do sensitivity testing to find out what medications will work.  White drainage from any part of the face is very dangerous, contagious and needs immediate medical care.

If you need help finding a vet please view the following site

Good luck and I hope your bunny gets better soon.
