two neutered male rabbits fighting or no?

Question
Hi, I'm thinking on getting another rabbit from the humane society and putting him or her in with my female rabbit and my neutered male rabbit. I was wondering, if I were to get a neutered male rabbit from the humane society and put him in with my other two will him and my other neutered male rabbit fight or not?

Answer
Dear Mikaela,

The most likely result of the experiment you are describing is a bloody battle among all three rabbits.  Under no circumstances should you ever introduce a third rabbit to a pair without *careful* introductions and bonding procedures that can take weeks, months, or not work at all.

Ask your Humane Society about a "blind date" with other rabbits, but have your female spayed first. She is at very high risk of uterine cancer if not spayed:

www.rabbit.org/health/spay.html

Once you've done that, read all this information on bonding and increasing the size of your rabbit family so you'll know what to expect and how to handle it without anyone getting injured or emotionally scarred:

Hope this helps.
