QuestionMy rabbit has a bump/lump about the size of a quarter on her side. i just noticed it this past week and I'm worried it may get worse. she's about 3-4 years old. she was an adult when i got her. she has previously had 2 litters(if that helps any) and she is currently my only rabbit.
what is there to do about this and what is it???
AnswerHi,
good for you for noticing this.
It could be several things, and unfortunately I can't tell you what it is. the thing you need to do is get her in to a good rabbit vet as soon as possible. Schedule a wellness exam (checkup) and make a point to tell them about the bump as your primary reason for coming in. The vet will give her an all over checkup and spend some detail time on the lump/bump.
If you need to find a good rabbit vet go here:
www.rabbit.org/vets/vets.html
to find a House Rabbit Society recommended vet near you. Get her in as soon as physically possible. Don't wait, this robs her of strength/stamina if it's a medical problem.
