Nodules on rabbit

Question
We adopted a rabbit in the spring,(he had fleas and some sort of intestinal virus, both were treated), I noticed then that he had some small nodules on his skin, which were not painful at all.  I have kept a watch on them, and they have not grown.  Do you think this could be something I should be concerned about?

Answer
Dear Susanne,

If the lumps move freely with the skin, and are small and hard, they may be nothing more than harmless fibromas, which some rabbits get.  If they have not changed in size and shape, this is even better news.

If the lumps do NOT move freely with the skin, they should be checked by an experienced rabbit vet:

And if you have any doubt whether these might be harmful or not, have a good rabbit vet take a look and see whether they need addressing or removal.

Hope this helps.
