neglectful mother rabbit

Dear Samantha:

My husband and I are attempting to breed our 10 month old mini rexes.  The female has had 3 litters and all the kits died of dehydration.- Oreo the mother did not have any milk and was never engorged.  Also, when the kits were born, they were scattered about the cage and not in her nest.  Can you help us or is Oreo just destined to be a poor mother?

With 3 breedings, i would hate to say that i myself would not breed her again. She probably doesn't have whats required to produce milk to feed the kits. Sometimes they have them out of the box, and you just have to put them back. Sorry for your bad luck, you may need to get another doe.
