Question
Lola Bunny
Lola Bunny
Hello there! I'm a proud mommy of two bunnies; one Holland lop and the other with ears that stand up. I don't know much of anything about the different breeds, but let my research lead me to know which breeds they resemble most. My female, Lola, is a sandy blond color. Right now she is about 5-6 months old and is already a little bigger than my year old lop. She has a large dewlap under her chin, and has had it a month or two now. Her back feet are huge. I noticed when giving her a bath. There aren't any specific markings that I have noticed yet, but she has a little bit of really lightly faded black in areas, but it's hardly noticeable. She has a distinguishable neck whereas my lop doesn't. She has a good size arch to her back. Her ears are rather large as well. She eats a lot. When I feed her, its numerous times throughout the day, and she acts as if she never eats. She's very tame; whether with humans or other animals. My dogs love her and she doesn't act threatened by them. I would love to know what breed she is. Is there any way you can figure this out from my description? Thanks.  --In the picture I provided, I think she was about 2 months old.

Answer
Hi Jessie,

Hmm this is a tough one.  The best I can tell you is that your rabbit is not one of the 47 recognized breeds of rabbits.  Her color is called fawn but of those 47 breeds about 2/3 of them can produce fawn.  My best guess would be that she is a Palomino mix.  That is seriously only a guess but if I was putting her up for adoption and had to choose a breed that is what I would choose.

I am so sorry that I can't help you.  Truthfully she doesn't really care what breed she is, she only cares that she has loving humans to treat her kindly and love her.
