weird growths

I just got this rabbit and i never noticed but he has two growths by his privates i assumed they were balls. My friend told me they were not they are large and they go in and out. meaning they shrivel and go inside and then come back out.  What are they?

They sound like....balls.  Yep.  That's what testicles do.  He retracts them to keep them safe from prodding fingers (or worse).  :)
