Rat Update

Hi,
  I had asked too many questions on my other one (http://en.allexperts.com/q/Pet-Rats-3537/2008/11/Rat-Medication-1.htm) so had to start a new one.
My little one, Peaka, died last night whilst at the vet in the oxygen tank, I am so devastated. I knew she was very sick and it was only a matter of time but I feel like I could have done more. I also feel that my vet could have done more and at least read the info I gave her.
I live on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia so if you know of any exotic vets in that area or even how I could go about finding one. I have called a few and asked but so far no luck.
Id like to know if you think I should start my other rat on some baytril since she is getting Poryphin occasionally around her nose? She has also started to sneeze a few times a day. Other then that she is fine, using her wheel, eating and drinking etc.
She does seem to be a bit restless since I took Peaka to the vet though.

I am really sorry she didnt make it. There are so many options out there, but since I did not see your rat there is no way for me to say what she needed at this point, but do know, as per the instructions I presented above, is that there are other meds to use on rats in cases like this. Myco alone doesnt kill, its the secondary infections that do.
