Question
Hi Sandra,

Thanks for your reply. Tamoxifen did ring a bell with me when you first said. I know with the NHS system in this country the drug is very hard to come by, even for human females with breast cancer. People are literally lobbying parliment and government to get it, so the chances for getting it for a rattie is not gonna happen.

Shame i cant fly my little Toffee over to the States every few months for the drug ;-)

Can you explain to me the PO and SID 3 in the details you gave me below??
(1.5 mg/lb to 3 mg/lb , PO , SID  3)

Is there a website etc with all this on? How did your vets work it out? Want to speak to my vet when ive got all the info. Dont want them thinking i'm a "know it all" without the facts

Thanks
Vicky

Answer
Hi Vicky

PO means taken by mouth, or in other words, orally.

SID means once per day and the 3 is a typo!   LOL

When you see where it says to take your medicine
PO TID means orally three times per day
PO BID means orally twice a day

SQ means subcutaneous (under the skin)

IM means injection into the muscle
