15 yr old girl and cant afford the vet to help her rat

Did she get the money to put her rat to sleep? If not I am willing to help her out. I had a rat that recenetly died. I didn't know anything about rats either till I read all the stuff on the internet. My rat became paralyzed  and I think he got pneumonia, I gave him Penicillin shots, and they didn't help. So I figured he had cancer because it came on so quickly. I feel bad for the way my rat suffered, and I know it won't help him now because I was so ignorant to his problems, but maybe I can help another. So if she still needs the money let em know. You let me know where to send the money and how much.

That is very very sweet of you to offer.  To be honest, I would not know how to reach her again unless you can lead me back to the post that you found this info at. I  cant remember. I get alot of these sad stories daily. I have helped in the past, even helping to fund several cages when a young girls rat had babies (she rescued two female feeders and was a total novice at the time)  I remember this girl so well, she even made her own prom dress and the left over money she had from the cages she used to buy a fancy hand bag and shoes to go with her dress. She sent photos etc.   It was years back, but I still remember feeling good that we were able to help someone.  There were several instances like this. Unfortunately, I cannot do this on my own but knowing there are generous, compassionate people out there like you willing to help is just wonderful.  Many times I thought about making an "emergency vet fund"  and have people apply for it when needed, but not sure how to start it or if anyone would even be able to contribute.  There is also a matter of trust, too, of course,and I have been told many times I am TOO trusting, if there is such a thing.  I dont see a problem when you want to trust someone, its sad that you cant.  I think most people that write to me are sincere, however.

Anyhow, let me know what post you found this out and I can try to contact her.  When people write to me, allexperts filters out personal email and if someone puts their phone number down etc...it gets filter out too, all for their own protection of course.   I can only reach people by answering questions or possibly by doing a follow up or when I revise an answer I think they get another new mail from me.  Other than that, there is no way for me to reach her without going through our old posts.
