timney grey behaviour

Hi Dianna,
I was wondering if you might be familiar with this sort of behaviour. My 9-month-old Timney has recently developed the habit of twisting her head upside down while perching on my shoulder. I was just wondering if you would consider this normal. She seems to enjoy the scratches she gets at these times.

Hello Gus and thank you for your post.
It is normal for a bird who is being "scritched" to do this type of thing with its head.  Birds have very flexible necks and they are able to turn their heads pretty far.
It's nothing to worry about.
