Fleas

How do you get rid of fleas on my poor rats I have 2. And How can I tell if they are fleas. But they seem to scratch like crazzy like my pet dog dose when she gets fleas. Please if any answers send asp!! I'm soo paniced about this situation.

Hi there, if you can actually see anything crawling on your rat its probably lice, if you cant see anything but your rats are itchy then they could have mites. A vet will be able to give you treatment to kill the parasites but you will have to change everything in the cage and throw out anything wooden as the mites can live in the holes. Hope this helps
