mother is eating babies mice

my daughters mouse had 8 babies and the mother is eating them can we put the ones that are left with another mother who has had babies 3 weeks ago

Hello Linda,
considering mouse are cannibals, the other mother may eat the babies as well. Typically a mother does this when she's stressed, doesn't have enough milk to feed the babies or she senses that the babies are unhealthy. I personally would not risk touching the babies or moving them. If you move them and the mom doesn't accept the babies you can't put them back with the mom.
