Chinchilla Burned her foot

My Female Chinchilla jumped from the floor to the toilet to the counter top where my curling iron was plugged in and on ( very hot). I was in the bedroom getting dressed, and heard her cry. I went running and found her standing there by it. She jumped into my arms and I carried her back into the bedroom. She wouldn't let me see it but all night she held it tucked up. I feel so bad. I don't know what else I can do

I'm sorry for your chinchilla - all I can say is in a situation like this you need to contact the vet immediately! For first aid you should douse the burned area with water for a while, and then cover the area with a bandage. Hope everything works out!
