toys for my 3 mice

i have 3 female mice and i wanted to know if you an tell me of any homemade toy i can make them...i already put a toilet roll in there and they love that!   so if you can tell me anything about toys for my mice i would love that

Dear Kayla,
thank you for your question.
You can offer cardboard boxes and egg containers to hide in and to chew. Flower pots make good hiding places, too and if you have access to trees that are not treated with pesticides, you can offer branches and leaves from hazel, apple, pear, willow, poplar, alder, currant, beech, birch or maple for chewing and climbing on.

Cover a ballon with several layers of moist toilet paper (unscented), allow it to dry and then pop the ballon, the toilet paper will be left, like an empty shell. Cut some holes into the toilet paper, shake out the balloon pieces and you have a mouse house.
Shoe boxes can be turned into labyrinths, here's a picture:

Use non-toxic wood-glue for putting in the walls of the labyrinth. Here's a picture of a climbing toy made from toilet paper rolls and some wood:

Hiding food in the bedding and in crumpled paper or tissues is fun for the mice, too, it's a lot more interesting for them to search for their food than to just walk up to the full food dish.
