Question
ok i bought my mouse a week ago and she seems really lonely. she use to be in a tank with like 20 other mice.so i was wondering if i got her a boyfriend as i put it would this be a good idea? and if so then what about the babies if she got pregnant? wouldn't there be problems with them because they are pet store mice? and another question umm Pandora(that's her name) is a little skittish when i try to pet her. do you think over time she could get use to being picked up or patted because i think she's so adorable and just want to let her know that she's not alone. and if she does get pregnant will she changed and become more aggressive towards me? i guess that's really all i needed to ask so please help me with my dilemma.

Answer
Why not get her a female friend? It will be very hard to find homes for 20 baby mice every 2 weeks! It would be impossible and irresponsible to let them breed non stop, the male would have to be removed anyway as he may attack or eat the babies when born. Its also not good to breed pet store animals as you dont have any idea of their history and they could be prone to tumours or respiratory problems. Theres also the chance that she could die during labour and that she may need to see a vet so it could be very expensive, she will get pregnant again right after giving birth, that would take its toll on her and would be cruel especially if she is young. A female friend would be so much better. She will get used to handling with patience and time, they dont really get handled much in the petstore so shes probably a bit nervous. Hope this helps, good luck
