degu sick! help!

my sister and i had two degus and last night hers died(from something to do with bleeding gums). now today, my degus teeth are turning white, and i know thats bad, so now what do i do? its kinda an emergency, so if you could reply back soon, that would be wonderful!

I don't know what to tell you...in my experience teeth turning white is a long-term problem as it has to do with diet.  Make sure it is getting plenty of vitamins (chinchilla diet, water add-in, fresh veggies) and has things to chew on so the teeth don't get too long.  Try not to stress it, and make sure you are hand-feeding treats so it won't get lonely.  Your goo will need extra social time with you now.
