Question -
when i got up this morning smore slithered out of his house we built his head kept moving back and forth and he couldn't really walk right. he made it to his food dish but could only turn his head one way he was fine yesterday and then his body started moving very quickly my vet is not opened yet do you know what it could be?

Answer -
Hi Karen

There is a few possibilities for what is wrong with smore.

One possibility is heat stroke. Is the heat very strong where you live at the moment?

The other possibility is temporary paralysis which is caused by a lack of vitamin D and calcium. The more serious paralysis is also a possibility, particular in older piggies. Visiting the vet is the best plan, but if you have any problems, I can give you some home remedies to help you, particularly with the temporary paralysis thing.

Good luck to you and Smore.

Andy

Answer
Hi Karen

I am glad to hear Smore is a bit better. Please can you send me an email to jesusguitarking@hotmail.com and I will give you some advice regarding paralysis as I said earlier.

I am sad to hear the vet gave your pig a shot as usually this does more harm than good.

Anyway, I look forward to your message.

Andy

P.S I cant give you the advice now because I am at work in case you wondered. :)
