Paralysis of guinea Pig

Katy is about 8 years old.  Yesterday, she developed a paralysis in her hind quarters.  She is not able to move her legs. She sits where I put her and eats everything around her, including the cage bedding.  What could cause this?

There are several things that can cause paralysis, a fall is the most common. In her case though, I suspect a stroke. She should be checked out by a vet. Sometimes they can recover and walk again but other times they will be special needs the rest of their lives. The vet should be able to tell you more about your individual piggy. Good luck!
