lump under right chin/neck area

my 3 yr old GP has not eaten for 4-5 days i syringe feed critter care.  Vet felt lump tonight said come tomorrow for anastetia, xray if abcess, drain and antibiotic.  what is best remedy. do i need anastetia and xray to see what the lump is please help little time left.  Thank you

Your vet is doing the right thing. She could take a biopsy of the lump but depending on her equipment, the results could take a while to come back and it's best treated as soon as possible. Good luck.
