Question
I have recently got one female guniea pig, I am strongly thinking of getting another one.  Is it better to purchase another female or male?  Can I keep them together or seperately.  I do not want my female to have babies.  Thanks. Desiree

Answer
Hello Desiree

If you dont want babys get a female the best way to know your getting a for sure female is to sex it your self or get it from a rescue go to; www.cavyspirit.com for sexing photos. Be sure to put the new female in a different cage adn wash your hands before handling your other female because the new pig might have something you cant see wrong with it, leave them in different cages for about a week by then you will know if she is eating/drinking/elimenating and will be able to cure and illness that pops up.
