un neutered male

ho there my male GP Azumi is nearly 6 mths old and has been through a lot in his short life, spent a lot of time in the animal hospital. i was wondering if i got a neutered female friend for him would that be ok as he is not neutered and dont want to put him through any more visits to the hospital and more drugs and ops if poss.
my local re homing GP recue centre has neutered females available but wanted to check first.

A neutered female would be fine but it may be that Azumi still tried to mate with her as he wont know she is neutered.

Your other option is to get a baby male to be his friend. An adult male almost always will accept a baby male without any problems and even can act fatherly towards it.
