QUESTION: Hi.I have 8guinea pigs 3are new born and I also have amth old albino white guinea pig named AllyMay she was born safe and heathly from a heathly mother who is also white.But today I found gooy yellow stuff at her bottom I think that was her urine.But I also think that she mite have a urine infection.She semms to eat fine and drink fine and gets alot of exersise.Dose it sound like she has a unrine infection? because it was all gooy and very yellowy.If it is can you tell me how to treat it? and what to do?.from Kathleen.

ANSWER: Hello Kathleen,
generally a urinary infection has symptoms like straining to urinate, blood in urine, smelly odor. Generally guinea pig urine is yellow and a little cloudy too sometimes.

I can't be 100% sure that your guinea pig doesn't have a UTI. Only a vet could rule it out by doing test, but if you are not seeing the most common signs like blood in urine or squeaking while peeing she probably doesn't have one. If you are truly worried I'd contact a vet and ask as well. :)
