New Piggies

Question
Howdy,
I have had a guinea pig ever since i was little but i have had only one at a time and a week ago i bought my first set of two male piggies. They seem to get along fine. No fighting, squealing and they seem to share food just fine. Though, one is smaller then the other that doesn't seem to be a problem other than the larger of the two like to um... try to mate with the other.
Anyway, my question is how to get these two little piggies to warm up to me. My old piggies in the past as i remember would make happy noises when you held them and LOVED treats. These current ones will let you pick them up but tend to just sit there and not say a word when you hold them. I have tried to feed them out of my hand but the little one does not seem to want to eat anything other than carrots and what is in the cage. The bigger one does eat other things but not much.
What can i do to get them to warm up to me and start making those happy piggy noises i want to hear? AND what can i do to get them to try to new fruits and veggies?

Answer
Hi Caroline

In terms of taming your new friends, I think its just a matter of time. The more time you spend with them, they will graudally learn that you are a friend and a source of food and will soon wheek for treats I am sure.

Some pigs just dont like certain foods, as in humans but if you leave food for perhaps a few minutes longer than you would normally, they will realise that this is what they have been given and they will eat it when they become hungry. Dont let them starve though! :)
