Guinea pig sounds

Hello,


I have a male American guinea pig that i purchased from Pet-co about a week before Christmas in 2010. His name is Kovu. I've had him for about a 2 months and he only makes  sounds. he purrs when i scratch is butt and whimpers and teeth chatters when Dexter (other male guinea) is near him. Dexter on the other hand makes all the sounds except purring. My question is, Is Kovu to scared to make the other noises or is he sick? He lets me hold him and he loves to cuddle but i'm worried something is wrong with him please let me know. He is the only guinea pig who i have seen who doesn't make all the sounds. let me know thank you

I think you have asked me about them before, i think everything is fine, perhaps kovu is a little scared of Dexter but as long as the two have plenty of space then i dont think there is anything to worry about, just keep a close eye and check that dexter is not bullying him.
