Question
hi abi,

i do alot of rescue work, mainly cats, but have taken in 2 sister cavies and one has a problem.  i noticed red(blood?) on the bedding and she squeeks when going to the bathroom.  her bottom needs to be cleaned now, as a "film" of some sort,(discharge)? appeared.

i do not have money for the vet, i feed over 20 strays and still need to raise money to get about 10 more spayed and neutered and feed them too!

i have been giving extra greens, includeing parsley and she gets hay every day.

hope you can help her!   thanks

Answer
ok, first off, your home is obveously too crowded which can and more then likely will arise health issuses to you and all your animals as well as helps me to beleive that this is a good possablility of how your piggy got sick. if you're too tight on money, get rid of some of the animals, it will be better for you and the animals over all. you never know when you need some extra money if an emergency, like this will arise to one of your animals or you will come about. your heart is in the right place with all your love and wanting to fix some of your animals, but theres just too many.
reguarding the piggy, it sounds like a urinary infection. she needs a vet and medicine as soon as possable and this does cost money. if you can not pay for it and decide to give the piggy away to a humane society, they will more then likely destroy the animal. you need to make a decision as soon as possable. if the piggy does go untreated, she will be in great discomfort and pain and can possably die if the infection. please make a wise decision, not only fot the well being of yourself, but for the animals as well.
good luck and if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask me anytime.
