Does he have ear mites?

My roboroski dwarf hamster has big red open sores just under his ears.  inside his ear looks sore too and he is scratching them. Can I put on anti-mite drops if his skin is broken.

the mite drops will be fine, it might sting a bit but thats all.

however, seen as its around his ears you must be very careful to avoid getting it in his eyes.

you will also need to clean out his cage and everything in it with the mite spray as well.

if he still has a problem see a vet.
