hamster urinates each time handled

QUESTION: why would the hamster that seems to be healthy urinate every time handled? and what would we need to do?

Hi Sheri,

    It seems to me that he/she is still a little scared of being handled. To help with this I would suggest holding him/her more often. Make sure to cup one hand over him/her, this makes them feel more secure and less likely to jump. Also, while holding him/her, talk to it in a soft voice to help calm him/her down.
