Weird hamster

Question
My chinese dwarf hampster is a weird little thing but today it got werider. i went to pick it up and i heard this little popping sound and when i had it in my hands i was petting it and i petted the side of its face and it sound like his jaw was popping and i felt along side his head and the end of his jaw felt like it was ready to come off. hes still in good spirit im just worried that he might not be able to eat further down the road. could you maybe shead some light on what the heck is going on?

    Did he happen to have anything in his pouch? This will make the jaw feel weird and you will also be able to hear popping.
    If he didn't have anything in his pouch, then you will want to keep an eye on it. If the area gets worse or starts to swell, then I would suggest having it checked by a vet.
