my hamster bites

i got my hamster a couple months ago and she bites. She is an european hamster. the girl at the store said that she was a nice hamster and she could hold her. Why does she bite me and my mom and friend?

Just seen your question in the 'question pool'.  How are you getting on with your hamster?  What type of hamster is she specifically - I'm not sure what you mean by 'European' - does this mean Russian as opposed to Syrian or Chinese?
