Question
hi my female dwarf hamster just turned one last week and she has a small lump by her private..shes eating and drinking and walking..she doesnt touch it..

Answer
Hi

I would advise that you keep a close watch on this lump.  Hamsters can get abscesses or cysts which the vet can drain and treat with antibiotics.  However, they can also get tumors - some are aggressive and grow quickly, others stay more or less the same size.

Check it doesn't change in terms of appearance - i.e. if it gets red, swollen, pus, bleeds or grows in size - I suggest you get to a vet as soon as possible so they can diagnose what type of lump it is and if it can be treated.

Hope you get on OK
