my hamster babies are due may 13 i think?  how long are they pregnant? what should i feed my hamster COCOA? my friend breeded hers first and it came to the day and she found out hers wasnt pregnant she thinks? will they be in heat why they are pregnant? can u breed the same male with 2 different girls? these are syerian hamsters? she is a short haired hamster is it ok if i breeded her with a long haired one same type? this is alot of ?s but i need them answered fast plz!!!

Ok.. Are you the person who asked before about heat and that? When did you breed your hamsters to assume they are due on the 13? The gestation period is 16 days so the female will normally give birth 16 days after the date of her breeding. Very occasionally a female may not give birth until the 17th or 18th day. The female will usually start to show pregnancy at around 10 days after mating. Her abdomen will become swollen and the nipples will become more prominent. If a pregnant female does not give birth after 18 days this is usually an indication of phantom pregnancy. Feed her lots of high protien foods, make sure close to birth she doesn't get too much exercize, don't handle her, and take her wheel out. Sure you can use the male as many times as you want, he doesn't stay with the female, so you can breed him to as many females as you want. You can breed long hairs to short I believe, but I forget if the babies will have long or short. I hope I've helped you! If you need anything else just ask.

I'm guessing you are the person from before for harboring resentment. May I ask what was wrong with that long and detailed explanation of hamster breeding? You say I know nothing? Your obviously an amature if you think there's something wrong with that response, get a life.

OK thats the only thing I didn't mention. You don't have to be so rude, and I dont think hamster gestations periods is "general info" And if you knew all this "general info" then why did you bother asking me? Eggs have protien, feed your hamster bits of hard boiled egg. Also Cheese, wheatgerm, and tofu have lots of protien.
