ferret snacks

Im looking for a good snack to feed my two ferrets cloe and josie, but every website i go to say something different.I dont want to make them sick by giving them the wrong thing. Should i gice them a veggie, fruits or anything else. I dont know, could you give me some ideas or tips on choseing snacks for them?

One thing that ferrets absolutely should NOT ever have are veggies, fruits, or sugars. They have a hard time digesting veggies or fruits, and sugars mess up their blood levels and can lead to health problems further down the road. That being said, try to look for ferret specific treats that don't have sugar in them. Read the ingredients, if high fructose corn syrup (another word for sugar), or anything similar is listed as a top ingredient, don't get it. It's difficult to find a good, healthy snack that your ferret enjoy, but it's worth it.
