QuestionI have a young (Betw. 6mos - 1 year) male ferret named Turbo. Over the last 2 weeks I have noticed his fur is turning a yellowish orange color along his back, quite pronounced. I have not changed his diet of ferret food and the occasional cereal bit or spoonful of peanut butter. His last poop was as brown as always. We have 3 other ferrets beside him, and none of the others have turned orange. They all eat the same diet. He is physically well. Any thoughts?
AnswerHi Lesley,
Is there any chance that Turbo is albino or a dark eyed white? If he is, they tend to do that. Their fur does get a little tint to it sometimes. Also, it isn't unusual for a ferret's fur to grow darker or lighter.
I hope that answers your question, and if it doesn't, please let me know!
Sincerely,
Emilee Andrews
