hi my name is  jenna i have a question about my hissing ferret. she is about 4 months old i got her from petco all of the sudden she started to bit my toes she started to stop that after i put bitter apple on them. now shes biting my hand and hissing she would hiss when shes bitting she would hiss when i push her away! i let her out most of the day she has toys to play with and other aniamls to play with! i dont know what to do i scruff her and say no to her but then she would just hiss at me i dont want her to be mean! also she would dig her food out of the bowl i think thats a bit strange! is this a normal thing to babys ferrets or is she starting to get mean? i DO NOT want her to grow up mean. does she miss other ferrets to play? with?
but please help me out! thank you!!

Answer
Baby ferrets, just like any baby animal goes through a process of biting things and it is normal.  Read through a bunch of my other responses regarding biting ferrets.  Hissing is normal and usually indicates she is unhappy about something - digging food is also normal behavior for ferrets.
