QUESTION: Hi Jacquie.

Again thank you for the quick reply and advice does mean alot to know that someone is there. After taking Otto to the vets that day. After bringing him back home he seemed the same as always but about AM that morning he get worse so rang to emergency vets and took him down (he had diarrhea and was breathing very rapid). The emergency vets took his temp and did some checks and found that she said that Otto has an upset belly. The vet gave him some pain killer and antibiotic's and said to ring the normal vets to get him 2 more injections of antibiotic's. ANSWER: Hi again Matthew:

What did the vet feel what infected in his stomach?  Did he not feel it would be a good idea to do a good clean out to be sure there is not a blockage in his stomach? Treatment for blockage can't hurt, but he could die if if IS a blockage and he doesn't get treated....just something to think about.  Since they are sooo tiny, keep dosages small. Maybe 1/3 tsp psyllium and 2 oz "soup" as explained in earlier email. I didn't realize they were this tiny!  Hope you'll try it for him in addition to whatever the vet recommends...at least ask the vet about it?

THanks for the pictures of your PRECIOUS little ones!! They are so tiny! Even in the picture the dark one looks like his tummy is distended to me.  I still think that sprinkling a little psyllium powder in some soup made with baby food chicken would be a good idea to be SURE there isn't something in there causing a problem.  Just my opinion tho.  Hope everything comes out okay - those are about the sweetest little ones I've seen in a long time!!! :-)

QUESTION: Hi Jacquie

The vet doesn't think that he has blockage just an upset belly she said if has a blockage the diarrhea that he had would of got rid of it. He is coming on amazing now after his injection, He is walking so much better again belly is now the same size as the white one, He is going the toilet fine now. He got an appointment for tomorrow for his 2nd one. Again thank you so much. I would like to keep in touch with you as you have helped me more than anyone else that i have been intouch with.
