Question
I have 2 five week old ferrets that need to be hand reared, what can i feed them.

Answer
You *may* get by with softening a premium quality ferret kibble with warm water, but just be aware that it spoils quickly after it is wet, so you will have to change it at least four times a day, clean the dish, and start over softening another batch.

You could also feed something called Carnivore Care (get it at your vet's office) or Hill's A/D (again, at the vet's) OR you can get some baby food meat only - chicken and/or turkey.  Any of the above will work just fine, but you will probably have to try a few before you figure out which one your little ones will accept.  At their young age, I would recommend introducing them to as many different foods (the ones listed above), as ferrets imprint on their food, so since they are so little, it will give you a nice wide range of what they will eat later.

Just remember ferrets are obligate carnivores, so MEAT and MEAT BYPRODUCTS (and eggs) only......no junk food :-)

Best of luck with your babies!!
