Question

head collar on dogs
hello madam, may i know when to use a head collar on a dog??

Answer
Head collars are useful for dogs that pull while being walked on leash.  They are not a substitute for proper training, but will make it easier to walk the dog while training is taking place.  Head collars require some acclimation, though, as most dogs do not like the sensation of the halter if you just put it on and attempt to walk.  Here's a brief article on how to make the halter more acceptable to your dog: http://www.aspcabehavior.org/articles/144/Introducing-Your-Dog-to-a-Head-Halter....
There's another option, if you prefer a harness rather than a head collar: http://www.premier.com/View.aspx?page=dogs/products/collars/easywalk/description
