Question
Hello, I have recently acquired an Blue Heeler, she is only 6mths old and is learning extremely quickly, BUT!! I cant seem to get her to walk with me (on her lead) without her pulling us off the track and all over the place, can you please help? thanks

Answer
Liz,

There is a wonderful product on the market called a GENTLE LEADER. It is a head collar that will help your dog learn to walk on a leash. It works by controlling your dog by its face just as a young pups mother would do since dogs have no hands. It is gentle pressure and does no harm you dog will be able to eat, drink and even bite(we don't want that but you get the point). I highly recommend this product to my clients who have strong dogs that are pullers. It serves as a wonderful training collar as well when you are teaching obedience.
Many places like a Petco, Petsmart sell this product, as well as the internet. The price is around $27.00 (well worth that) which most will come with a CD that will explain the concept. Google the words GENTLE LEADER HEAD COLLAR you will be able to  read up on it plus watch a few clips.

Let me know what you think of this collar
