Crystal Crystal is 8 1/2 years old,she is a beagle, She is a female, and she is neutered. Over the last year and a half she has become very lazy. Which is causing her to become fat. And the only time she will run is when she tries to catch a rabbit(shes done it twice YUCK!) Do you have any ways to get her on her feet and playing again?

Speak to Crystal's veterinarian. Beagles generally live long, active lives, and to get lazy at this early an age is unusual. She should be evaluated for problems that could cause lethargy. I know that one of my dogs had this happen and was diagnosed with Lyme disease. Once she was treated, she got back to her old self very quickly. Getting her seen by her vet is really the first step - it's unfair to try to get a dog to exercise if they have something wrong physically.
