dog name help

we just adopted a 7yr min pin.  his family called him wayne all those years. now my daughter wants to rename him gizmo. i was wondering if i should explain to her that isnt his name or would he easily adapt at this point in his life?

He could adapt to a new name, Evelyn, but it isn't going to happen overnight, as I'm sure you know. You all will have to do quite a bit of conditioning training to teach him to respond to the new name, but it can be done. The choice is up to you as to what you tell your daughter. ;^)
