Agressive Dog

Question
Hi Robin

I have a 1 and 1/2 year old male Alaskan Malamute and he has always had a beautiful temperment but lately has started to become more aggressive to my partner and recently myself. He is a very loving dog to me and i would hate to have to get re house him or put him down. I can understand the aggression to my partner as both time he has snapped at him, i have been around and it was more of a protection thing.
we have recently brought a new puppy which is a female Siberian Husky and she is now 10 weeks old, he loves her to bits. I always separate them when feeding time and last night he went up to her bowl which is inside and as i told him to get out and pushed him away he growled and snapped and again at her when she checked his already empty bowl.
I am now worried he see's himself as more dominant than me. Will his aggression towards me and my partner continue, if so what is the best way to show him who's boss again?

Answer
Please refer to this article for tips on establishing pack leadership with your dogs http://www.thegooddogjournal.com/2009/02/whos-boss-establishing-pack-leadership....
I believe that this is where your problem lies. Make sure your partner also follows these guidelines.
