Question
We adopted Dezeil about 3 months ago he is now a year old we had him fixed. We just cant seem to get him to stop jumping on people and 100lbs hes going to hurt someone. And biting a little to much when hes playing it never seems like hes really being mean but a cant have him biting an any way I have children. Please help. I cant have any worries my children are much older so they know better than to pull at the dog they only want to play and be with Dezeil. And are their any books you recomend for some training or trainers in the Windsor Ont area

Answer
While his behavior is normal for a dog, you are correct in that it is a problem around children and guests.

Rather than try to explain via email how to work on correcting these behaviors, here are some Ontario trainers you can call.  Their names are from the APDT website (www.apdt.com) so if they are not satisfactory, you can search for trainers yourself at that site.
