pit boxer mix puppy

I just got a female pit boxer who was born on July 2, I have no earthly idea about dogs, what can i do to get her used to the family, i have 4 children, two in which are 2 yr old twins, I dont want anything crazy to happen, and I need to know this type of dogs behavior, as well as training procedures, and getting the puppy house broken!! Any help you can provide will be great! Thanks
