Question
Hi, if I am going to get 2 boxers, is it better to get them from the same litter or not?  Or, is it better to get a an older puppy first then a younger one?  I mean is it better in terms of ability to train the puppies and have them stimulated by one another to have well behaved boxers.  Thanks!

Answer
There is no clear answer to that. If the litter mates get along well, good, but often they do not after growing. Introducing a different age puppy is also a proglem since they are in different stages of development and often that immediately makes the older the  alpha dog and can cause sibling rivalry issues.  Of the two, I would go with two litter mates after observing which ones get along well together. Be sure to have them spayed when age ready. I have personally adopted litter mates of Beagles, Doberman, and other breeds but genrally after the age of 16 weeks when it is clear how they behave togther.
