Is a male or female easier to housebreak?

My boyfriend and I live in a small apartment and are thinking about getting a beagle pup.  His family raises them, so we know that that can be hard to housebreak. However, we were wondering if there is really any difference in trying to housebreak a male and a female pup.

There's not a lot of difference - females may be a little easier, but they also have more tendency to have submissive urination issues. With either sex, the key is good supervision, good scheduling and being there to have a party when they do it right. Sandy Case MEd, CPDT www.positivelycanine.com
